Golfer Rory McIlroy Files for Divorce After 7 Years of Marriage

McIlroy, 33, had been married to Erica Stoll since 2017.

According to court records obtained by People, McIlroy filed for divorce on Tuesday, August 2, in Palm Beach County, Florida. The couple has one child together, a daughter named Poppy, who was born in 2020.

McIlroy and Stoll began dating in 2014 after meeting at the Ryder Cup.

They became engaged in 2015 and married two years later. McIlroy was previously engaged to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, but they broke up in 2014.
