Chelsea v Wolves: Late Coady header earns Wolves a point at Stamford Bridge

Wolves fought back from two goals down to earn a point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Conor Coady's late header canceled out goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount to secure a point for the visitors.

Chelsea took the lead in the 20th minute when Havertz headed home a cross from Reece James.

Mount doubled the hosts' advantage just before half-time with a fine finish from the edge of the area.

However, Wolves hit back after the break, with Hwang Hee-Chan pulling a goal back in the 54th minute.

Coady then leveled the scoring in the 79th minute with a header from a corner.

The result leaves Chelsea in ninth place in the Premier League table, while Wolves are now 17th.

Reaction

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui was pleased with his team's performance.

"I'm very happy with the point," he said. "We played very well, especially in the second half. We created a lot of chances and we could have won the game."

Chelsea manager Graham Potter was disappointed with the result.

"We're disappointed not to win," he said. "We played well for large parts of the game, but we made some mistakes that cost us.
